Briony May Williams looking at cards in The Clifton Arcade, surrounded by vintage charm and independent shops

The Clifton Arcade

Nestled in the heart of Clifton, The Clifton Arcade is a treasure trove of independent shops and vintage charm. I love the warm and welcoming vibe here, no matter the season. You can browse everything from antique finds to quirky gifts, all housed under one beautifully restored Victorian roof. Perfect for discovering one-of-a-kind pieces, it's a place where every corner feels like a story waiting to be found. A true Bristol gem!

Mary’s Living & Giving Bristol

Anyone that knows me knows that I love vintage clothes shopping and Bristol’s charity shops are the perfect place to uncover truly special pieces. One of my favourite stops is Mary’s Living & Giving, featured in Vogue, this Save the Children charity shop has the most beautiful, curated collection of pieces fit for any runway.

Briony May Williams at Reg the Veg market in Bristol, selecting fresh fruit and vegetables

Reg the Veg

A Bristol institution, Reg the Veg is my go-to-spot for the freshest fruit and veg in town, whether I am cooking a family feast or baking some sweet treats I can always rely on their fresh ingredients. During my time on The Great British Bake Off I was delighted to discover my hometown favourite provided fruit and veg to the show, it was like having a piece of home with me as I competed. Bursting with colour and quality, it’s the perfect place to stock up on ingredients that are as fresh as your inspiration!

I adore its collection of hand painted pieces, vibrant prints and quirky cards that make for perfect keepsakes or gifts. With an aura that comes alive as soon as you enter the shop, it will inspire you to add a splash of personality to your home – or your day! A little piece of Bristol’s artistic soul.
