Directions & Transport Links

The Bristol is well connected to transport links, making train, bus and car journeys between the hotel and several reference points short. This leaves you more time to explore and make the most of the city’s attractions and vibe, or simply just enjoy the facilities of the hotel itself.

The Bristol hotel now falls within the City of Bristol Clean Air Zone.  Charges only apply to older more polluting vehicles.  Please use this link to check for your car:  Drive in a clean air zone - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

We have been informed of the following road closure:

The M4 will be closed in both directions between junctions 18 and 19 from 7pm Friday 18 October to 6am Monday 21 October.

A local diversion route will be in place using the A46, A420, A4174 and M32, which is expected to be very busy. Please follow diversion signs and not satnavs.

If you are planning to travel by car, please allow yourself plenty of extra time to complete your journey.

If they are unable to complete the work as planned, the M4 junction 18 to 19 will be closed again from 7pm Friday 25 October to 6am Monday 28 October.

Bristol Airport

Jump into a car and drive to the hotel from the airport, and you can be there relatively soon after you set off. A car journey to and from the airport is a quick 30 minutes or less via the A38 and A370.

The Bristol Flyer departs from the airport at regular intervals and will deposit you at Bristol Bus and Coach Station or Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station on a journey lasting roughly 30 minutes. From either of these stops, the walk is approximately 15 to 20 minutes on foot to the hotel, so you may opt to take a taxi instead.

Bus service 70 runs from Temple Meads Railway Station along Redcliffe Way, leaving you just a few minutes from the hotel if you prefer to use the bus.

Temple Meads Railway Station

If you’re arriving at Temple Meads Railway Station, you can hop onto bus service 70 from the station and get off on Redcliffe Way. You’ll be steps away from the hotel.

Bristol Bus and Coach Station

Catching bus service 90 a couple of streets away from the bus and coach station will allow you to step off the bus on The Grove. This street is a little round the corner from the hotel. You’ll hardly notice the time as the journey lasts approximately 10 minutes.
