A Winter Wonderland arrives at Dalloway Terrace

Experience a taste of snowy Switzerland in the heart of London

For its final transformation of 2019, The Bloomsbury’s Dalloway Terrace will transport guests to the luxurious snowy playground of Gstaad: the world’s most desirable ski resort.

Located in the wide valley of the Wildstrubel in the Alps, Gstaad is a picturesque winter playground for A-Listers and international VIPs, with past visitors including Sir Roger Moore, Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna, Valentino and Dame Julie Andrews, who described the setting as “the last paradise in a crazy world.”

Dalloway Terrace has taken influence from the luxury of the resort alongside the Swiss town’s alpine village feel, using traditional craft techniques such as “Scherenschnitte” (Swiss paper cutting) to decorate the space. The brilliant team at Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart have worked their magic too, creating a beautiful winter scene in the snowy Alps, featuring snow drenched pine garlands and traditional Swiss cow bells nestled amongst the frosty foliage.

The drinks menu will be on theme, offering a scrumptious selection of winter warmers, including the Alpine Toddy (Nonimo Grappa, Chamomile Flower, Supusawa and Organic Agave) and Glühwein (Pinot Noir, Crème de Fique Liqeurs and Spices Formula).

For food, expect a range of seasonal delights such as Roasted Butternut Squash Risotto, gorgonzola and pine nuts and the indulgent Game Rigatoni, game ragu, walnut peso and parmesan. The festive Swiss Afternoon Tea is a real treat for the tastebuds too, with sweet and savoury options including the Mont Blanc Tart – inspired by the shape of the famous mountain in the Alps – and the Swiss Mountain Cheese with Onion Chutney on brown bread.
