The Kensington capturing the ‘beauty’ of Afternoon Tea
In celebration of the iconic and ever-lasting splendor of the Beauty and the Beast tale, The Kensington is delighted to offer a special afternoon tea with a magical twist, ideal for families or groups of friends in the mood for something a little ‘sweet’. Served in Town House at The Kensington, the exclusive tea names ‘Tale as Old as Time’ will be served with charming Mrs. Potts and Chip Potts dishware, while the delicious sweet and savoury treats also take inspiration from characters and scenes of the film. Highlights include Vanilla & Gold Jelly, served in shot glasses with the ever-symbolic rose petal immersed inside, topped with cream poured from Mrs. Potts spout. Other favourites include the Spiced Snow Ball Macaroon; Coconut & Chocolate, based on the classic scene featuring Belle and Beast’s playful snowball fight and the Chocolate Clock Tart; Chocolate Ganache, featuring an image of the lovable Cogsworth’s face. Alongside this selection of indulgent sweets, Town House will also be offering a variety of savoury delights, including a Bite-Sized Venison Pie, Cheese Soufflé with Roscoff Onion Pissaladiere, and a rich and delicious Beef Ragu & Saffron Arancini served with Lemon Crème Fraiche. As an alternative to scones for this afternoon tea, Town House will be offering Marie’s Sweet Brioche Baguette with apricot preserve & chocolate pot, referring to the local baker from Belle’s hometown in the film.

Experience the ‘Queen Bee’ of Afternoon Tea at The Bloomsbury
The Coral Room takes inspiration from the humble bumble bee this season. The menu takes inspiration from the bee’s importance within the ecosystem, and their fascinating natural habitat. To complement the sweet and savoury treats, a selection of the bartender’s favorite vermouth is served with every course, including a surprising Rose Ice Tea. This deconstructed afternoon tea includes a selection of classic favourites but the real showstopper in the giant ‘sconut’. A cross between the much-loved scone and the delicious doughnut, The Coral Room’s sconut is designed to share. Available in several different sizes depending on the size of your group this tasty treat is with filled a mouth-watering filling that changes monthly.
