Ultimate wintery spots to enjoy in London

The best hangouts in London to embrace the festive season in style

Turn up your festive spirit a notch or two at London’s winter hideaways, both cosy and magical...

Cosy up at Dalloway Terrace

With seasonally changing installations, Dalloway Terrace always has something exciting for both new and returning guests to look forward to. The last autumnal installation transformed the cosy hideaway inside The Bloomsbury into a mystical cove of honeycomb leaves, brushed gold butterflies and pinecones. Their winter installation doesn’t disappoint - a Swiss-inspired look to replicate Gstaad for guests to cosy up in. Be enchanted with the restaurant’s snow tipped pine trees and rustic cow bells and allow yourself to be transported to the Alps.

Dine on a themed winter menu, including cheese fondue and rosti, or opt for the ‘winter-ised’ afternoon tea. Make sure you don’t miss the new winter warmer cocktails such as the delectable ‘Golden Pass Express’, served with a Retro Image Viewer with snowy alpine views.

Feel festive at 34 Mayfair

The luxurious spot 34 Mayfair will be welcoming a ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ theme to its Grosvenor Square premises this Christmas. It’s rooms will be adorned with spectacular decorations – promised to get even scrooge feeling festive.

From nutcrackers to magical fairy lights, every inch of the restaurant will be covered in 14,000 glamourous decorations and baubles, designed by the talented florist Jane Wadham. The festive sparkle doesn’t end there, as a selection of the restaurant’s cocktails will feature Moët & Chandon Champagne cocktails ready and waiting for guests to sip on, alongside some special Christmas desserts. If you’re lucky, you may even spot Father Christmas himself enjoying an egg-nog or two!

Terrace views at The Orrery

The Marylebone’s Orrery restaurant and bar has teamed up with The White Company to transform their terrace for winter this year. Following on from last year’s alpine terrace, it’s newest installation will dress the French restaurant’s rooftop space with The White Company’s luxury cashmere throws, hanging outdoor lanterns and white sheepskin rugs, while the aromatic scents of chestnuts and pine candles will fill the air. A special winter terrace menu created by Head Chef Igor Tymchyshyn, will be accompanied by a cocktail list matched to The White Company’s winter fragrances.
