Launch of Skinny Prosecco at BALFES
Skinny Prosecco hits Dublin
It’s been one of the most hotly anticipated new drinks to hit the scene, and last Wednesday saw the Irish launch of Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco at BALFES. As one of Dublin’s most popular all-day dining brasseries and bars, it was a perfect setting for the launch party, which was attended by Amanda Thomson, the founder of the brand and pictured above with David Murray and Aisling Cooney.
With just 66 calories in a glass, and half the amount of sugar usually added, Skinny Prosecco is a game changer in the market, and is proving popular with those who are health conscious. Says Thomson:
"My mission is to be completely open about what we're drinking and cut sugar where it's not needed. We're not counting calories, but we share them for transparency. My mission is for us to drink better and cleaner."
It’s a spirit in keeping with the BALFES ethos, where healthier options can always be found on the menu. Guests coming to BALFES can enjoy Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco, whether looking for an evening drink or an accompaniment to a meal. The prosecco pairs exceptionally well with the josper grilled gambas, which are served with harissa aioli and lime, as well as the grilled chicken salad with guacamole and sweet piquillo peppers. It also compliments the sea bass with soy mirin glaze served with courgette cream, roast pak choi & hijiki seaweed, or a dessert of grilled peppered pineapple with cardamom ice cream.
