Dalloway goes floral for Christmas

Orchidya pop-up

London’s beautiful Dalloway Terrace (now a winter wonderland) has teamed up with fabulous florists Orchidya to create a pop-up flower shop running throughout November and December. Orchidya is just one of the myriad of exciting shops and boutiques that can be found on The Bloomsbury's doorstep. Having opened its first outpost on nearby Store Street in 2012, the florist has now blossomed into a hugely-successful London-wide flower supplier, creating impressive floral designs all over the capital.

During the Dalloway Terrace pop-up, Orchidya’s florists will be selling hand-tied arrangements from £30, plus a festive collection of decorative items like wreaths and garlands. They will also be offering masterclasses for couples and groups – an alternative Christmas Party idea perhaps? Taught by an expert from the Orchidya Academy, the tutorials will see visitors learn how to make beautiful bouquets, Christmas decorations and displays.

The classes can be combined with the decadent Pierre Marcolini Chocolate afternoon tea for £165 per person, served with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut and including a white chocolate and Christmas pudding dome; assorted macaron; pecan and salted caramel chocolate slice; freshly baked plain and sultana buttermilk scones; and smoked turkey and cranberry sandwiches in brioche. Floral masterclasses without the afternoon tea cost £120 per person or £100 per person for groups of five or more.

Both the team at The Bloomsbury and Orchidya are excited about the collaboration. Michael Neve, General Manager of The Bloomsbury comments, “We are delighted to be in partnership with such a prestigious local company, where Orchidya’s expertise in boutique floristry can now reach an even wider audience.”

Sophie Li, founder of Orchidya says, “We pride ourselves in ensuring that our client’s aspirations are not only met, but exceeded, just as the team at The Bloomsbury and Dalloway Terrace do. Our love of nature, and indeed love for every flowering plant, is the driving force behind our goal of bringing only the finest bouquets, arrangements, specimens and displays to our clients so it’s perfect to be able to offer our blooms and masterclasses to guests in the open air and covered spaces of Dalloway Terrace.”

The Dalloway Terrace Pop-Up Flower Shop at Dalloway Terrace will be open 8.00am – 7.00pm weekdays and 10.00am - 4.00pm weekends from 7th November. Masterclass bookings can be made by emailing info@orchidya.com, they cost £120 per person for two; £100 per person for groups with a minimum of five participants and £165 per person including Pierre Marcolini Afternoon Tea. Classes take around one hour.
