Introducing London’s best new ballroom
The Bloomsbury hotel unveils its latest design transformation to its historic ballroom, the George V Hall
This Autumn, The Bloomsbury hotel reopens the doors to it’s grand George V ballroom. Inspired by the extensive travels of HRH George V during the expansion of the British Empire, the room has been renovated as a homage to the monarch’s love of travel. Striking Adam Ellis wallpaper encompasses the room, depicting a lake scene with tropical botanicals and an assortment of creatures from all corners of the globe.
The ballroom has been transformed into a flexible space, designed by The Doyle Collection’s in-house design team to be ideal for daytime conference events, fabulous cocktails parties or formal celebrations. Large windows flood the room with natural light, offering a fresh and contemporary setting, complemented by statement Waterford crystal chandeliers that glitter in the sunshine and provide a grand welcome for guests at night.
Measuring at 266sq. m, the hall can host up to 320 guests standing, 300 theatre and 200 for a banquet – a rare offering for such a Central London location. Catering can be provided from the team behind The Bloomsbury’s brilliant restaurant Dalloway Terrace, who can create bespoke menus for any occasion.
Just a two-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road station, the space is easily accessible for guests through the entrance to The Bloomsbury; a beautiful Graded II-listed building designed in 1928 by Sir Edward Lutyens to replicate Queen Mary’s doll’s house.
With so many royal influences, The Bloomsbury’s George V Hall is the perfect space to host a very special event in the heart of London’s West End.
