Doyle Does RHS Chelsea Flower Show
The Doyle Collection gets into the summer spirit for the highlight of the horticultural calendar
Ushering in the spring season, the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show is the highlight of the year for the green fingered amongst us. From the avant-garde show gardens to the Floral Marquee centrepiece, the RHS Chelsea Flower show is a veritable visual feast
In true Doyle Collection style, we’ve got some great goings-on across London to celebrate the highlight of the horticultural calendar.
Fittingly set amongst the leafy streets of the Royal borough, London’s finest townhouse hotel, The Kensington, has partnered with Perrier-Jouët for the duration of RHS Chelsea Flower Show. What better way to take a break from the crowds at the Royal Hospital than to relax with a glass of Perrier-Jouët’s new Blanc de Blancs Champagne nestled amongst the spectacular surroundings of the hotel.
If a quick glass of Perrier-Jouët's new Blanc de Blancs doesn’t quite quench your thirst, The Kensington will also be celebrating the flower show in style with a sumptuous Champagne pairing dinner on Thursday 25th May at their restaurant, Town House at The Kensington.
Presenting a smorgasbord of culinary delights, Executive Chef Steve Gibbs has conjured up a special menu for the occasion. With visual influences from The Chelsea Flower Show itself and inspiration from the tasting notes of Perrier-Jouët’s range of champagnes, dishes include Heirloom tomato & elderflower consommé, expertly paired with Perrier-Jouët’s new Blanc de Blancs Cuvée.
Gin-lovers rejoice! The Marylebone will be bringing the botanical action into town with their very own limited edition blend of gin to commemorate the Flower Show.
Setting up in 108 Bar, the hotel will play host to ‘Isabella’ the resident copper gin still for the duration of the RHS Flower Show. Thanks to a special partnership with local Mary-le-Bone Gin, guests, patrons and passers buy will be able to buy one of the limited-edition bottles of 108 Gin with a specially added Irish Lavender botanical, distilled on site.
With spring in full swing, The Marylebone has the perfect excuse to organise a celebratory afternoon tea. Taking influence from the best of the season and of course RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Executive Head Chef Russell Ford will be putting a unique floral spin on this traditional classic until 28th May.
As the flower show draws to a close, The Bloomsbury will be keeping the excitement going over the bank holiday weekend with their pop-up bar in partnership with Hendrick’s Gin. The Bloomsbury will be bringing the flower show into town, decorating the pop-up bar on the patio with a flourish of roses and Hendrick’s signature cucumbers, as well as adorning the entrance to Dalloway Terrace and The Bloomsbury club with a glorious rose garland. Bank Holiday plans? Sorted.
