Olafur Elisson: In Real Life at Tate Modern

This interactive experience is another one of Olafur Elisson’s unmissable series’ of artwork, as the Danish-Icelandic artist adds this retrospective, which looks at senses and the power they hold, to his newest installation portfolio following his giant ice sculpture last year. With boldly-bright colours and immersive installations which take you through coloured fog, this exhibit is certainly one for the Instagram feed. Viewers will be taken on a journey of fascination catalysed by the artist’s interest in nature, live experience and the link between art and science.

Lee Krasner: Living Colour at the Barbican

For a moving and emotional experience with art, explore Lee Krasner’s life and work through her spirit for invention and abstract expressionism. Celebrating the late artist’s pioneering work, throughout August observers will be able to rediscover Krasner (who was considered to be one of America’s key figures in the art world) through an installation view. Lena, who eventually became the androgynous ‘Lee’, was known for creating energetic work which reflected post-war America along with all the emotional realism tied into every painting.
