The London Marathon is one of the world’s greatest running events. This 26.2 mile run attracts over 35 thousand participants and an impressive 750 thousand spectators every year. Participants range from amateur to professional, all with the goal of raising money for their chosen charities. The event takes place every spring and this year it kicks off on April 24 at 10am. Kicking off in Greenwich Park or Blackheath, the running route involves some of the city’s most historic and iconic landmarks, finishing spectacularly at Buckingham Palace.
