Whether you’re a horror enthusiast or would rather enjoy a warm bowl of pumpkin soup and a tamer, less-scary celebration, London has you covered this October 31^st.

Dalloway Terrace

Take breakfast at Dalloway Terrace to set you up for a day full of scares. You’ll be needing the energy for when the adrenaline kicks in, so feast on pastries, pancakes and shakshuka in the luxuriously relaxing atmosphere of this eatery, located at The Bloomsbury. The autumnal interior installation will bring an orange-tinted taste of the Halloween season to your day, with orange and brown leaves lining the walls, hanging lanterns and atmospheric fairy lights.

Ghost Tours 

The best way to explore London this season is through a chilling ghost tour. Follow your guide to some of the city’s most haunted areas, listen to horror stories and perhaps spot a ghost or two. With many walks to choose from, covering different sites around London, the hairs on the back of your neck are sure to be standing on edge in these spooky locations. Horroctober Screenings

Horroctober 2018 is a month-long festival located at The Prince Charles Cinema, where scary movie screenings take place throughout the month of October. A short stroll south of The Bloomsbury, you’ll enjoy an evening full of screams and scares whilst watching ‘The Shining’, ‘The Exorcist’ and ‘The Evil Dead’, to name a few. There are even special all-night events where you can spend 12 whole hours on the edge of your seat watching new and classic horror films.

Crime Scene Live at The Natural History Museum

Around the corner from The Kensington, transform yourself into a detective at The Natural History Museum. Work alongside forensic experts to solve a chillingly gruesome murder mystery. Wander your way around the museum whilst analysing the evidence and undertaking experiments in order to catch the guilty criminal. Crack the case and live in the shoes of the CSI team. 

Ascarium

If you’re looking for a fun activity for the kids, take a trip to Sea Life from The Marylebone to dive into a creepy underwater adventure, appropriately named Ascarium, this Halloween. Help the Sea Witch unlock her treasure chest whilst you’re confronted with sharp teeth, glow-in-the-dark creatures and gruesome tentacles.

Sparkling Pumpkin Carving

Whilst this favourite Halloween pastime is usually reserved for an at-home family activity, Drink, Shop & Do have created an updated pumpkin carving adults-only event. Located north of The Bloomsbury and a stone’s throw from King’s Cross, sip on Veuve Clicquot whilst you craft your very own spooky festive creation.
