Sometimes you need a hot new look in a flash. You might be on your way to a meeting and looking for a professional pick-me-up, or you might have been caught in a typical Irish rainstorm! But if you need a quick turnaround, a regular salon may not fit the bill. And if you’re in the city centre, you simply might not know where to turn.

Luckily, Brown Thomas has you covered. Dublin’s finest shopping mecca has just launched The Beauty Lounge, located just behind the flagship store on Clarendon Street. 

In the plush salon, you’ll be able to get a blowdry, a manicure or even a make-up session, all of which are available from 7:00am on weekdays. It’s also just steps away from The Westbury, so it’s never been easier to pep yourself up with a quick blow dry before dinner in WILDE.

The blow dry bar is the first in Ireland from Aveda, and is offering various options depending on your needs. If you only have less than half an hour to spare, the Dry Style Blow Dry will have you looking fabulous in 25 minutes (€19). For a full wash and blow dry, the Sensory treatment will leave you glossy and polished in 35 minutes (€28). An ultimate Power Stay Sensory blow dry will take 45 minutes (€37).

If you’d prefer an upstyle, or a chic braid, those are available too – both cost €19 for a dry style, or €47 for a Red Carpet Upstyle, including a wash.

There are a multitude of nail options available from Nails Inc, whether you want a rapid file and polish or a lengthy, luxurious manicure. A 15 minute manicure starts at €25, but there are also full manicures available, as well as gels.

There’s also a Brow Bar, where you can get threading for €15, tints and false eyelash applications.

Over at The Makeup Station, all of the make-up lessons are redeemable against products. You can take a 30 minute mini-lesson (€40) and learn all of the basics, or book in for a 90 minute masterclass (€100) where you’ll pick up invaluable skincare and make up tips.
