A Guided Tour of The Marylebone Suite

Marylebone Suite - image 1

London is home to many luxurious hotel suites, but how many chances will you get to see inside them? Often favoured by famous and high profile guests, they offer a private haven away from the bustling city. We gained exclusive access to The Marylebone Suite to take you behind the doors of The Doyle Collection’s largest London suite.

A Grand Entrance
Located on the 7th floor of the The Marylebone, it has its very own entrance that leads up two flights of stairs to a second level. The staircase is adorned with beautiful light fixtures and design elements that set the tone for what’s to come. On the top of the staircase are two doors; to the left is The Wimpole Suite and on the right is The Marylebone Suite.

The Terrace
Once through the front door of The Marylebone Suite, the first thing that strikes you is the spectacular cedar-clad terrace. Spanning 40 square meters along the right of the suite, the terrace cleverly provides indoor-outdoor living whatever the season. In summer the roof and city-facing windows roll away to reveal an idyllic suntrap. In winter the shelter and heating turn it into a cosy haven.

Guests visiting in winter can expect sumptuous faux fur rugs, cashmere throws and a roaring log fire. Impressive views of the London skyline are visible any time of year, a charming element of this top floor suite.

The Living Area
It is in the open-plan area that you really appreciate the immaculate design of The Marylebone Suite. A stylish combination of colours, linens, wools and silks come together in perfect harmony. A 60-inch television is concealed on the wall behind a mirror and a separate wet-bar provides a sink along with tea and coffee making facilities.

The Master Bedroom
Walk through the living area and you’ll find the master bedroom. Plush bedding, elegant lampshades and a statement headboard make the king bed incredibly inviting. A hidden dressing table provides the perfect glam-station for ladies, and the sliding doors ensure total privacy if you have company.

The Bathroom
With two locking doors, the cleverly designed bathroom acts as both a guest bathroom from the hall, and an en suite bathroom from the bedroom. Classic Calcatta marble, gilded fixtures, a whirlpool bath and rain shower combine to make this bathroom the perfect place for pampering. Wrap yourself in the fluffiest white robes and sample the luxury Aromatherapy Associates bath products.

The Little Extras
The Marlyebone Suite is full of little extras that are sure to surprise and delight its guests. Enjoy Champagne, fresh fruit and flowers on arrival, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the stunning ostrich feather lamp by Porto Romana.

Homely touches such as the leather-bound Backgammon board from Aspinal of London make the Marylebone Suite feel like a sophisticated home from home. The wet-bar has a Nespresso machine, herbal teas, mini teapots and fine bone china waiting to be enjoyed.
