The Warmth of Other Suns

We have partnered with The Philips Collection, the first museum of modern art in the United States, to present you with a collection of seasonal ever-changing exhibitions and a permanent collection from proprietor Duncan Phillips.

The goal of the museum was to present his art collection in a museum that would stand as a memorial to his late-father and brother. The Georgian mansion, located two blocks from the hotel, is excited to introduce its newest exhibition for the summer, The Warmth of Other Suns: Stories of Global Displacement from June 22 to September 22, 2019. The special exhibition presents 75 historical and contemporary international artists whose work poses urgent questions around the experiences and perceptions of migration and the current global refugee crisis - through installations, videos, paintings, and documentary images. The Warmth of Other Suns explores both real and imaginary geographies, reconstructing personal and collective tales of migration.

Admission: $12 for adults; $10 for students and visitors 62 and over; free for visitors 18 and under.
