A Day en Française

The  French Film Festival kicks off at London’s Institut Francais this week. From November 5 – 12, you can catch some of the most exciting French cinema – there’ll be exclusive premieres of the latest films, as well as a selection of restored classics.

And to really get you in the mood for this extravaganza, we've put together a guide to French London; specifically, in the Kensington area. From your morning coffee and croissant to a decadent French meal and everything in between (we haven’t forgotten the glass of wine!), our interactive illustration will ensure you immerse yourself fully in all things French. Simply hover over the images below to find out more about the various places we've listed.

Looking for somewhere to stay during the festival? The Kensington’s 126 guest rooms and 24 suites are all individually decorated and combine sumptuous fabrics, deep upholstery and an eclectic mix of contemporary art and sleek furnishings that complement this historic building’s classic Victorian townhouse architecture. Keep the French theme going with the Kensington’s ‘ Oh, So French! Afternoon Tea’; a delicious selection of pastries, millefeuille and macaroons in the decadent Town House venue. Or pop around the corner to Aux Merveilleux de Fred for a tasty takeaway treat.
