Royally Inspired Masterclasses

In the run-up to the event of the year, The Kensington is hosting a series of events in celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding ceremony

For the first in a series of masterclasses at The Kensington, in the run up to the wedding we’ve all been waiting for, Rockett St George and Saint Floral showed us how to put our best foot forward with floristry and interiors.

They say that an Englishman’s home is his castle, and with Meghan moving into Kensington she’s sure to be putting her unique modern, trendy and eclectic style stamp on the interiors, but how can the rest of us furnish our own palaces? We went along to find out.

After a moment to enjoy drinks from K Bar served alongside culinary creations fit for a queen, our guests took their seats in the elegant surroundings of Town House, The Kensington’s fabulous restaurant. Hannah Agnes Antmann of Saint Floral shared her top-tips for creating the perfect floral installation when hosting, from small intimate dinners to magnificent wedding breakfasts for hundreds of guests. From picking the best flowers in season to curating wild and experimental arrangements, Hannah’s tips made our beginners bloom, ready to create the perfect backdrop of charmingly wild and experimental arrangements bound to impress any guest, Royal or otherwise.

As the wedding draws nearer, we have two more masterclasses remaining; learn how to become ‘The Hostess with the Mostest’ with Dani Tucker, Founder of The Social Kitchen, who will impart wisdom on everything from dressing a table to preparing the perfect menu. Once you’ve got the planning stage nailed, it’s time to learn to ‘Write Like a Royal’ with Suzie Dicker, Founder of A L’Aise’s masterclass on calligraphy, so you can write to your guests and invite them to your very own ‘Instagram Worthy Supper Club’ to celebrate the Royal Wedding in style.
