Is this London’s coolest suite?
You step into The Marylebone Suite, met straight away by gorgeous design pieces like an Ostrich feathered lamp, candles set into stone and huge plump sofas. Fresh flowers and fruit are on the table, along with a chilled bottle of Champagne.
The bedroom, kitted out with a lush king sized bed, leads into the Calacatta marble bathroom, where you’ll find Aromatherapy Associates products and a huge bath tub to sink into.
But if all that wasn’t enough, you then step out onto the terrace.
With amazing views over the rooftops, London is laid out before you from a space that is the ultimate in chic. The terrace is almost as big as the suite itself, finished off with huge woven rugs and stylish furniture. Choose between sinking back into a cosy sofa, or relaxing on one of the sun chairs with a glass of your Champagne.
It’s fair to say that the weather in London can be a little temperamental. Which is why this terrace holds the key to suite perfection. If the weather isn’t great, you can sit under the retractable roof and keep a close eye on the comings and goings of the city. The rain won’t bother you a bit, particularly if you switch on the fire. You can sit back by the cosy fireplace, a soft blanket strewn across your shoulders, while you drink in the city. There’s even a television above the fireplace, so you can take in a movie while relaxing on the terrace (which can be heated, too).
But if you’re blessed with sunshine, the windows and roof all roll back completely, thanks to a nifty little remote control. Then you can bask in the sunshine and gentle breeze, while the buzz of the city carries on below. There’s no better place to sit back, glass of Champagne in hand, and absorb the energy of the capital. The only problem will be dragging yourself away when it’s time to check out
The Marylebone Suite costs £1,500 per night, inclusive of à la carte breakfast, all taxes, welcome bottle of Champagne, fresh fruit and flowers and dedicated guest relations liaison. The Wimpole & Harley Terrace Suites both have private terraces too, and cost £1,000 per night, inclusive of à la carte breakfast and all taxes. You can see more here.
