Father’s Day at Town House, Kensington

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and Town House in The Kensington have it covered. On Sunday 19th of June, treat your father to a very special lunch imagined by Town House’s Executive Chef, Steve Gibbs.

Town House have teamed up with Chase Vodka to create a unique dish especially for Father’s Day; Dressed Devonshire Crab with Chase Smoked Vodka Gazpacho Jelly, and to make it taste even better, the dish will be complimentary for all the dads dining at Town House. They will also receive a complimentary Chase Smoked Vodka miniature to take away.

The newly launched three-course Sunday Lunch menu will also be available, serving up delicious dishes made with the finest, seasonal produce. The menu includes; Roast Rib of Devonshire Beef, Spring Risotto and Slow Roasted Sea Trout. Click here to view the full menu.

Head Chef of Town House, Steve Gibbs

 

Town House’s Executive Chef, Steve Gibbs has trained under some of the UK’s best chef’s including Gordon Ramsey, Jason Atherton and Mark Hix. We caught up with him to find out his inspiration behind the dish…

What was the inspiration behind this dish?
I used to work in Marbella, Spain, and I have fond memories of watching the sunset, having a chilled bowl of gazpacho. Crab is my favourite seafood plus vodka and gazpacho go very well together.

Can you tell us more about the ’smoked’ vodka?
It’s one of my favourite spirits from Chase Distillery, with its sweet and light woody notes of liquorice root, perfect for food-pairing.

What’s your secret to making the perfect gazpacho?
Marination overnight is my tip for the perfect gazpacho.

What drink would you recommend to go with this dish?
A nice and chilled beer will complement the dish perfectly.
