Afternoon tea at The Doyle Collection

Tea for two!

This week is national Afternoon Tea week and here at The Doyle Collection we always have time for tea. We have some really exciting offerings at all three of our hotels, and here’s a little taster (sorry!) of what to expect.

Kensington Afternoon Tea

The Kensington

Indulge in this quintessential British pastime among the stylish interiors of our Drawing Room at The Kensington. Pair rare teas and a glass of Champagne with crab tartines, pea and gorgonzola arancini, broad beans and girolle mushroom tarts. On the sweeter side there’s our amazing Amalfi lemon éclair, strawberry tarts and bitter chocolate macaron with sea salt caramel. Gluten allergies are taken care of too, with the likes of a superfood salad, sandwiches on gluten-free bread and date and almond balls dipped in chocolate and grated coconut, plus buttermilk scones with Devonshire clotted cream. Who said allergies were boring? All from £35pp.

Marylebone - Afternoon Tea

The Marylebone

Vintage designs meet contemporary style at 108 Pantry where you can pick and mix from the chef’s freshly made breads, salads, cakes and tarts or choose from three set afternoon tea menus. There’s the Classic; sandwiches, pastries, buttermilk scones and pastries from the counter, the Gluten Free and the Indulgent, which pairs either of the former with a glass of rosé Champagne and strawberries. Add a zing to your tea with a special iced tea cocktail made with Jasmine, melon, ginger, mint and elderflower. Afternoon Tea is from £28.

Bloomsbury Picnic Tea

The Bloomsbury

The magical Dalloway Terrace, one of central London’s most exciting newly opened all-year terraces is a really special setting for the ‘Bloomsbury Set’ Picnic Afternoon Tea, inspired by original recipes from the 1920’s and 1930's, which have been modernised by our talented pastry chef Mariatu Kargbo. Served from a bespoke wicker picnic basket atop a Foxford picnic blanket covered table, highlights include smoked corn-fed chicken in broche buns, freshly baked plain and sultana buttermilk scones and organic smoked salmon rillettes on our iconic Guinness bread. Picnic Afternoon Tea is available from Monday 8th August and costs £30 per person. Upgrade to a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne for £35 per person.
